Hear your call

Realize your true potential and give yourself every advantage for success. Zeta Tau Alpha membership provides a built-in support system to help you navigate college life and beyond. As a new member, you’ll learn about the elements of ZTA we all seek: greatness, understanding, purpose, sisterhood, nobility. Throughout your life, you’ll continue to grow in ZTA through leadership roles, service and mentoring other sisters.

In 1954, a time when women’s opportunities were limited, Zeta Tau Alpha established its Foundation to offer financial support to members pursuing higher education. The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee continues to assist Zetas in need, awarding scholarships based on leadership in ZTA, academic achievement, financial need, chapter involvement, and campus and community activities.

ZTA offers a variety of programming to prepare members to succeed in college and the world beyond. Some programs address immediate challenges such as hazing prevention, mental health, and social responsibility regarding problem drinking and prescription drug abuse. Other programs are dedicated to our sisters’ future success through career planning and membership enrichment topics.

When available on your campus, living in Zeta Tau Alpha housing can be a highlight of your college years. The cost for room and board is typically lower than living in a residence hall, and the benefits provide a unique experience for personal and social growth. The unique environment of ZTA housing provides positive opportunities and a welcoming home away from home.

The Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation fulfills the founding principles of our Fraternity through support for programs that are educational, philanthropic and leadership-oriented. While ZTA’s unifying national philanthropic cause is breast cancer education and awareness, each collegiate and alumnae chapter finds its own local niche with projects that produce long-lasting benefits to the community.

Zetas eagerly await the presentation of awards during Zeta Day, Convention and National Leadership Conference. We all celebrate as chapters and individuals are recognized for their achievements.

ZTA's Nine Key Values Programming

Every year, collegiate members take a Membership Survey that measures personal development in terms of ZTA's Nine Key Values, Sisterhood, and Health and Safety. Each summer, chapters receive a Chapter Assessment Report that outlines their results and includes the chapter’s strong points and areas for improvement. Chapters use this data to develop Nine Key Values programming in the areas where their members can grow.

Convention

Collegians and alumnae come together at Convention each biennium to conduct Fraternity business, learn about new ZTA programs and initiatives, receive recognition for chapter and individual excellence, invest in their own personal development, and most importantly, strengthen the bonds of sisterhood!

Emerging Leaders Academy

Emerging Leaders Academy is a summer leadership program that prepares younger collegians—mostly rising sophomores and juniors—to take on officer roles with confidence and return to their chapters with the skills to equip every member for leadership. This four-day experience, which takes place on non-Convention years, teaches members leadership through the lens of ZTA's Nine Key Values.

Officer Leadership Academies

Officer Leadership Academies take place over four weekends from November to February each academic year. The three-day long leadership experience for incoming officers and advisors occurs in cities across the country and focuses on individual leadership skills and training and fostering sisterhood. Zetas travel near and far to experience the high-impact weekend.

Leadership Consultants

A Leadership Consultant is a recent graduate who works full time for ZTA, traveling to one or more collegiate chapters throughout the school year. Her duties include providing guidance on officer education, promoting leadership development, improving chapter organization and assisting in membership recruitment as well as helping create and build up new chapters.
