Zeta Tau Alpha installed Lambda Xi Chapter, the 252nd link in our Chain of Chapters, Saturday, Nov. 12, at Seton Hall University.
Collegians from Alpha Beta (University of Pennsylvania), Kappa Iota (Moravian College) and Lambda Alpha (Sacred Heart University) chapters conducted Initiation Services for the new members Friday evening, Nov. 11. Saturday morning, chapter president Madeline Recore was initiated prior to the Installation of a Chapter and Installation of Chapter Officers services, which were performed by ZTA National President Carolyn Hof Carpenter and Extension Director Dolores Gonzales Gastineau.
ZTA held a celebratory luncheon for new members, family, friends, alumnae and university guests following the Installation of a Chapter Service at Seton Hall. Mrs. Gastineau served as toastmistress of the event. Traveling Leadership Consultant Caroline Villarreal gave the invocation while Lambda Xi Music Chairman Denise Holsworth sang the "Zeta Prayer." Following lunch, Mrs. Carpenter, Madeline, DNCH Cassie Edlis, and Seton Hall Associate Director of Leadership Development Michael Davis also addressed the banquet.
Per ZTA tradition, the chapter was presented with a silver tray and punch bowl set from the Fraternity by Mrs. Carpenter and Mrs. Gastineau. TLCs Caroline, Kelley Fox, SalliJean Saputo and Tatiana Vizzare presented the traditional baby cup, symbolic of ZTA's newest chapter. DNCH Cassie presented Madeline with a president’s gavel. Province President I-G Tamela Dickie Beene presented gifts from Northern New Jersey Alumnae Chapter.
ZTA honored Seton Hall as our partner and host institution for Lambda Xi. Mrs. Carpenter presented Michael with a $1,000 donation to Seton Hall’s general scholarship fund on behalf of the ZTA Foundation.
