The ZTA Foundation provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate ZTA members and non-members. The Scholarship Committee selects the recipients and the Foundation administers the scholarships and grants. The criteria used for selecting recipients include a minimum 2.75 GPA, involvement in campus and community activities, financial need, recommendations and current class status. Applications are due in the early spring for the following school year.

The scholarships given by the ZTA Foundation are defined as follows:

Achievement Scholarships – Given to both undergraduates and graduate students from annual contributions to the General Scholarship Fund, the minimum scholarship amount is $1,000.

Endowed Scholarships – Generally given in honor or in memory of a special Zeta, the interest generated by the specific fund each year is used to provide the scholarship. These scholarships vary in amount depending on the size of the endowment.

Founders Grants – Nine grants at a minimum of $5,000 each are given annually to those pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree. These grants are funded through a combination of endowed monies and funds from the General Scholarship Fund.

Recognition Scholarships – A scholarship minimum of $1,300, this award is established with $1,000 donated by the chapter or individuals funding it and $300 contributed from the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. These scholarships can be designated for specific chapters, provinces or areas. How To Sponsor a Recognition Scholarship

Service Scholarships – Available for those studying special education, social work or other health-related professions, the money for these scholarships comes from the Service Fund. The minimum scholarship amount is $1,000.
