Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity for women announces the hiring of Kyle Pendleton as its new Director of Harm Reduction and Prevention Education. Pendleton, who currently serves as assistant dean of students at Purdue University, will join the staff of ZTA’s International Office in Indianapolis on August 17, 2011.
“We are ecstatic about having Kyle join our staff,” says Executive Director Deb Ensor. “Zeta Tau Alpha is committed to being a leader in risk education and prevention and we are very proud to take the next step by hiring an expert in this area as well as in the overall development of Greek communities.”
Pendleton has been working with fraternity and sorority students for over 15 years and has been on the staff at Purdue since July 2006. He previously held positions at San Diego State University, Columbia University and Northwestern University.
“I am extremely excited about working for such a dynamic and forward-thinking organization as Zeta Tau Alpha,” Pendleton says. “Assisting in the training and development of the thousands of undergraduate collegians, alumnae volunteers and leadership team members will continue to position ZTA as a leader in the interfraternal and student development world.”
Pendleton was initiated into Delta Sigma Phi at The Ohio State University. In addition to his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio State, he has a master’s degree in student personnel administration from the University of South Carolina.
